The new 2019 Ford Ranger will have a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that generates an impressive 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The Ford brand has continued to develop a range of engines that weigh less and use less fuel, yet they also somehow manage to generate more power. When equipped with an optional Trailer Tow Package and the Trailer Brake Controller, the Ranger will deliver up to 7,500 pounds.

Off-Road Package

The Ranger also has impressive off-road capabilities. An optional FX4 Package comes with skid plates, all-terrain tires, and a status screen for monitoring the vehicle’s stability. Trail Control™ is great for maintaining speed when venturing off the beaten path. Terrain Management System™ offers four different modes to adapt the vehicle’s grip to suit different geography: Normal, Mud/Rut, Sand and Grass/Gravel/Snow.
