The 2020 Ford F-150 is equipped with a wide range of features to optimize performance and capability. Setting new standards, the F-150 comes with available best-in-class payload, a military-grade aluminum-alloy body, and a high-strength steel frame. Plus, with a wide range of towing technologies, you can more easily navigate your F-150 with a trailer attached.

Under The Hood

The F-150 comes with six engine options. There’s a 3.5-liter EcoBoost® engine with 375 horsepower and best-in-class 470 lb-ft of gas torque. This provides an impressive 13,200 pounds in available towing. There’s a 3.0-liter Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel engine, which has 250 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque, and it’s capable of carrying 1,940 pounds in payload and 11,500 pounds while towing. The high-output 3.5-liter engine offered on the Raptor has best-in-class 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, while the 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 engine has 395 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Finally, the 3.3-liter Ti-VCT V6 comes with 290 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque.

Towing And Payload

The smart towing features on the 2020 Ford F-150 give you added control behind the wheel. For instance, there’s a Pro Trailer Backup Assist feature to synchronize the truck and trailer as you reverse. Dynamic hitch assist comes with a line-of-sight guide to make hooking up a trailer easier. An 8-inch productivity screen in the cabin provides up-to-date trailer information, while a factory-installed trailer brake controller gives you optimal stopping power. Plus, the Blind Spot Information System can be modified with available Trailer Coverage to alert you if a vehicle is in your blind spot.

Exterior Features

The F-150 is built to be durable and convenient as well. There’s optional LED lighting in the bed to make work easier (as well as LED box lighting), a 12-sided steel frame design to ensure your F-150 can handle heavy payloads, and the 6,000 series alloy body is the same used in military-industrial applications. Available on the Raptor are live-valve monotube shocks, a Torque-On-Demand transfer case for 4x4 powertrains, and an electronic-locking differential for more control as you turn.
